Riftia pachyptila

Riftia pachyptila or ,the giant tube worm, is a deep sea animal that grows up to 2 meters long. This animal is a thermophile and lives on the edge of hydrothermal vents (Underwater volcanoes) and stays in one spot for life.
Giant tubeworms are like a mini ecosystem and have no mouth. Instead inside themselves is a bacteria which they consume as food making this an extremely sustainable deep sea animal. Giant tube worms are also an acidophile, for the hydrothermal vents spew out toxic chemicals.
